As mentioned by Todd Geist (Director of Engineering, Claris) during last Thursday’s Claris Community Live, a new resource is available in the wake of attacks against FileMaker solutions.
The article outlines methods of checking if you have been, or are currently being, attacked. It also includes a detailed security checklist, from tightening login permissions to cleaning up unused features that connect to the internet, and more.
The first thing this attack does is check for unlocked doors and open windows into your solution. If there’s a security task you’ve been meaning to get to, like turning off Guest access, restricting who can reach your Admin Console, or turning on encryption at rest, now is the time to do so!
